30 Sep

Good morning to all….

I have some new cards to show sometime this week. I made a few and need to take pics.

I wanted to post a scripture that has encouraged me;

“The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.” 1 Tim. 2:1 (The Message)

Have a wonderful day and check back soon I will have some new posts.

Another Quick Post

27 Sep

Now this layout is all mine. I am using Bohemian Traveler and Old Letters from Shabby Miss Jenn Designs. This is going to be used as a postcard invitation. I am having way to much fun with Shabby Miss Jenn Designs stuff. The possibilities are endless.
Well I really do have to go. Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings to you!!!!
EDIT: I spelled Alter incorrectly. It should be Altar. (LOL!) Spell check didn’t catch my error…=)

My First Ever Digital Scrapbook Page

27 Sep

I wish I could take credit for this beautiful page….But I can not. It was a free download from Shabby Miss Jenn Designs. Wow…I really do not need to have any other hobby or interest. I can see how this could become addicting.
Those are my beautemous boys that God has blessed me with.
I had time to get some things done at home today. Unfortunately Jeremy isn’t feeling well. He has a slight fever, dizziness, plus his asthma was kicking his tail.
Praise God that Jeremy is getting better and better. He just woke up from a 2-3 hour nap, so I must go and tend to him…plus I need to pick up Samuel from school.
Thank you for stopping by. Please feel free to leave comments, I’d love your feedback good or bad….

Second Birthday Card for Grumpa

23 Sep

This is the second card I made for Grumpa. He has loved horse racing for as long as I can remember. I found this misc. image of a horse running and used the flourish from the Bronc Buster set to give you the impression that he is running. I like the horse and the flourish…I am not sure about the layout. I did use a greeting card size. I wanted to make it simple….Hmmpf?

Stamps: Bronc Buster, Misc. Horse stamp, Misc. Happy Birthday and Weathered

Inks: Blue Bayou, River Rock, and Choco Chip.

I used this fun stripped ribbon from Basic Grey (Recess).

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Grumpa!

23 Sep

This card was made for my Grandpa, AKA Grumpa. He is a riot! When growing up, he was always there to make you smile! My grumpa lives in Washington State, where I grew up and I am all the way across the US in Good Ol‘ Wisconsin. I miss home and my Grumpa very much.

Happy Birthday Grumpa!!!

The card was made using a regular sized greeting card. I found this fun DP at Achievers. It’s by K & Co…(I think)

I used the set Bronc Buster from SU! I love this set. I used Blue Bayou, River Rock, and Choco Chip inks. The picture is hard to see and I will share why…

I just purchased one of those Photo Studios in a Box. I do have to admit, this is not an American Recorder brand, that I have had my eye on. This is a different brand, that I purchased at Wal-Mart. I am not sure how to use it yet. As of right now…I have no opinions on it. I need to play around with the lighting etc. (Since I have no idea what I am doing…) So please bare with me in my photos.

Blessings and Have a wonderful weekend!

Last post for the night

21 Sep

Well I am going for the “gold” tonight. I don’t post for a week and then I post 3 cards in one night….
This was a lot of fun to make. I had an order for a reg. size greeting card, they wanted it for a co-worker who has received a promotion. I have tons and tons of stamps and can you believe that I don’t have 1 not 1 Congratulations stamp in my stash! Hmmpf. I did however just receive my SU! order with the Short and Sweet set. So it saved me. =)
I found this fun DP by K & Co. The fun flowers are from Daisy D’s. I just love the brown and polka dot ribbon. (not sure who makes it.) The buttons are a mixture of my minds eye and Basic Grey (Recess).
Of course I used Flowabella by Stampingbella. Bellas are my fav! They are perfect for coloring.

Please leave me a comment if you like it.

Blessings! Have a wonderful day tomorrow…..It’s FRIDAY!!!

Open House for Cheri’s Coffee Shop

20 Sep

My dear friend is following one of her dreams to open a coffee shop. It’s call “Bean Street Cafe”. Her logo is great and she is going for a persian style. So I was so honored when Cheri asked me to create invites for her Open House. WOW!! I made 35 card for her. The hard part was figuring out an easy layout that was pleasing to the eye, yet easy to make.

I stamped the coffee house stamp by Magenta on watercolor paper using Staz-On Jet Black ink. I used SU! Rich Regals watercolor crayons to color in the coffee shop.
I used the Marvy Rectangle Scallop punch for the sentiment and some random ribbon I purchased at our local craft store. (I threw the spool away…I am not sure who makes the ribbon.)
I am not sure if you can see the envie…I used the sentiment from espressoly yours SU! stamp set.

Have a great night and I hope to be posting some new cards this weekend!

Blessings to you and your family.

Amuse – Cards for a Cause

20 Sep

Ok so here is the low-down on the above picture…………

I really like Amuse Art Stamps. They are selling 6 kits and part of the proceeds go to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital. I mentioned early that I rcvd my kit. It was super fast, easy and fun to make the cards in this kit. You can’t really see but I added lots of sparkle to the guitar. It looks super cool IRL.

Thanks for Stopping by.

The kit came with Astrix note cards, tangerine cat eye ink pad, the stamps you see and the circles were precut. All I did was stamp the fun star on the cards. I stamped the Rock Star with Staz-On Jet Black ink and colored them in with a few Copics, and SU! writers. Then to finish off you add Diamond glitter.

I will be posting the cards for Cheri’s Open House later tonight.

Long time no post

19 Sep

Ok this is a “mug” shot of my boys. I took this in the wee hours of the morning last week. This is also a pic. of Samuel and his missing tooth.

God has blessed me with 2 beautemous boys! They are full of energy and I have said it before, that it is always an adventure at our home.

Ok, one more pic to share. Samuel and I went to the little farmer this weekend, while Jeremy went up north with their auntie Tina. This is Samuel in amongst the pumpkins. (See what I mean, this pic captures his energy, I think.

Now for some CARD news. I have been making cards and haven’t had a moment to take a pic and upload. I finished the invite cards for my friend Cheri’s coffee shop what will be opening soon.

I also purchased Kit #3 from Amuse Art Stamps. Check out the 6 kits they have. It is an awesome way to help. I rcvd my kit the other day and I made up the cards last night. I choose Kit #3 because I know my boys will love it. They love receiving cards from me. (which I am glad!) I have my eyes on Kit#1 and #6…….Hmmmmm

Thanks for checking back and I will share with you some of my stamping creations soon!

Picture of the Birthday Boy

11 Sep

This is Samuel. He turned 6 on Sept. 1. This pic. was taken in the wee hours of Sept. 1….He was so excited that he was turning 6 years old, it was like Christmas morning to him.
For an entire week every morning around 5a, he would come and wake me up with the Birthday count down…ok, it was cute for the first 2 days….=)
I will be posting some pic’s of the boys soon…I think they are the cutest boys in the world. Yes, you are right, I am bias! =) I also have to take a pic of Samuel with his tooth missing….so, I can post it here and email it to family….Isn’t it fun to share.
Blessings to you and Have a wonderful week!
