Elzybell by Amuse

28 Oct

Isn’t she the most darling little girl? I like Elzybell stamps very much. They are adorable. I purchased them through Elzybell/Amuse Blog. I used a 4 bar note card and envie for this project.

Ink: Jet Black Staz-On, Old Oliver SU! marker, Choco. Chip SU! marker, Tempting Turquoise SU! marker.

Stamps: Elzybell – Girl with Bird, Elzybell – Sentiment

Paper: I found this paper by Paper Salon on clearance at our local stamp store. The paper was actually Paper Salon envie liners. I thought it would make a perfect background for the Elzybell stamps. Blue Bayou CS.

Accessories: Copic sketch markers (my favorite!!! I am slowly adding to my collection, I have 4 marker now.) I used Garnet on this card. Marvy scallop oval punch (purple one), and diamond stickles.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Thomas Kinkade – Cornish Heritage Farms

28 Oct

This is one of the many small projects I have been working on the past couple of weeks. I bought ceramic ornaments at our local craft store 40% off, which means I was able to purchase them for a really, really ridiculously low price!!! Yeah for me!
I used the Thomas Kinkade Stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms. (Love them!) I used Azure Staz-On ink and sealed them with non-firing clear glaze by Krylon. (That makes the blue pop and be all shinny!) I also purchased the ribbon for 40% off too….gotta love all the sales.

I do have to get going….but I wanted to quickly post some eye candy for you.

Blessings and Thanks for stopping by.

3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

1. I was born in Anchorage Alaska

2. I am half Aleut (Alaska Native, my people are from the Aleutian Islands).

3. Even though I am half Aleut, I don’t know first hand about my people or culture. What I know is from study.

4. I am in love the people of Ireland and haven’t even visited Ireland yet. I am friends with a family who are missionaries to Ireland and am blessed with the privilege of their friendship and the honor to pray for them and for the people of Ireland. (My Mom’s family came from Ireland at some point in history.)

5. My outlook on life tends to lean towards being a hopeless romantic and optimist.

6. I believe in the power of prayer. =) (But who doesn’t ?)

7. I like coffee very much, but prefer to drink Ice Coffee even in winter….(Wisconsin winters can be cold.) I hardly ever drink hot coffee. I do however like my tea both ways.

Going Pink for October

13 Oct

I don’t have any cards to share right now. Maybe later today. I do have 2 RAK cards I received, that I want to upload and share with you. I joined the RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) group on SCS. So far it is lots of fun, I can’t wait to see what the RAK group is like.

I decided to go pink for October, to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Totally a worthy cause.

I have a quick story to share. My friend Carol that I grew up with in Shelton, WA found my blog and contacted me the other day. How cool is that!!!! I haven’t heard from Carol in a few years. I moved from the Olympia / Seattle area in 1995 and moved to Good Ol‘ Wisconsin….and I haven’t seen Carol since then. We tried to keep in touch and I do have to be honest….she was more diligent that I was…then through circumstance of life we lost touch across the miles. Sad I know… How many of us do that though?!?!?!?
Well I am so glad that she found me and we will definitely keep in touch. Praise God for the blessings of friendship….Reading her email brought back lots of memories from Kindergarten through High School. (LOL!!!)

Carol, “HELLLOOOOO” to you!!! Love and miss you much…

Savannah’s Birthday Card

7 Oct

This is a Birthday Card that I made Savannah, she is turning 4 soon. I really like this set. This set (Doodle This) is so much fun!

We have been very busy the last few days. Samuel and Jordan had their Birthday Party and it was a lot of fun! The boys had a blast……..we didn’t follow through with our theme of the 1950’s very well. Oh, well the kids wouldn’t have cared…

The fun stuff. I think the card is fairly self explanatory. I normally don’t make complicated cards (LOL). I cut the Plaid DP a 1/4″ smaller that the card. I took a left over piece of plain white card stock and stamped the main image. I then stamped the flower on 2 coordinating pieces of DP and cut them in 1/2 and ran through my mini Xron sticker maker, then I cut out each petal and adhered it to the org. stamped image. The stem was stamped off around the card stock. I used watercolor crayons by SU! rich regals to color the stems and the to messily color the background. I used 2 buttons for the center of the flower and another button for the ribbon bow.

Stamps: Doodle This, Misc. Happy Birthday

Ink: Timber Brown Staz-on

Paper: Bo Bunny (isn’t it darling!)

Accessories: Rhonda Farrer Buttons, and misc Certainly celery like color ribbon.

We are off to church for our night service! Our church service this morning was awesome. The presence of the Lord was so strong. It was a beautiful service. We serve a mighty God who will meet our every need!!

Blessings and I will post again soon….Please leave a comment if you like the cards…=)
