29 Oct

Well my boss purchased this toucan stamp from Whipper Snapper for me so I could make her some cards……This card looks a little plain because the sentiment is missing. I still need to add that to the card.

I will not be posting any new projects for a short season…things are getting ultra busy around here and I am going to take a break for about 3 days or so. I will see you then! (I have some more lighthouse cards to share with you.) =)

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Many Blessings,

Happy Monday to You!

This is another lighthouse card I made for my mom.
I really don’t have to much to say this morning. I hope everyone had a Blessed weekend!!!
The image is from Cornish Heritage Farms. I water colored the image with SU! reinkers.

Ok I am not into skulls at all…but Kim Hughes Pirate stamp set included these skulls and it was fitting to use them with this adorable Pirate Moose (Riley) from Hanna Stamps. The Moose stamps are too adorable! The Kim Hughes stamp set is also the October Stamp of the Month….which means you can receive this set at a discount during the month of October. This set of 10 images is only $7.99….now that is less that $0.79 each. I mean WOW!!!! That is an awesome deal and Kim is one of my favorite artists! I do have many favorites…and she is at the top. (I promise I won’t make a list today of my Favorite artists. LOL!!! I don’t think I could anyways….)
Speaking of the list yesterday…
Can you share with me what your favorite top 5 stamp companies are?
I made this card for my boss…she is totally into pirates and loved this card. It is super simple to make.
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!
Many Blessings!!!!

I’m Back!

23 Oct

I made this card for my Mom. Here Birthday is November 4, (election day). My mom loves lighthouses and anything to do with the sea. This is an image from Cornish Heritage Farms, which is one of my top 5 stamping companies. (Okay there are a lot more, but there are 5 companies that I tend to favor and use in all of my cards and CHF is at the top. I can hardly make a card without using a CHF stamp….funny huh!)
So are you wondering what my top 5 favorite stamp companies are? Well I am going to share with you anyways…LOL! (in no particular order…cause I can’t pick my favorite, pretty bad huh!?!??)
Well I found a car on Saturday. Thank You Jesus! I will have to take a picture of it and share with you. It is a green 1997 Mazda Melania, it has leather heated seats, climate controlled (which is an awesome feature….I have a dial and it ranges from 60-90 degree and I turn the dial and the car warms up or cools down to what ever temperature that I want….How COOL is that!) It also has a well loved 12 disc CD player…a few speaker wires need to be fixed and it will sound like new. I am beyond BLESSED! I know it is old, but God has blessed me with a good car that was in my low budget range. NO complaints…Only PRAISE!
I also got a new computer….it’s present mania in our home. The gentleman that is working on my laptop will be able to rebuild it for me and that is a blessing! With my new computer ( I decided on a HP slimline) I was able to purchase Adobe Photoshop 6 elements for dirt cheap and upgrade my MS Office, which was a necessity with all the work we do.
Thanks for listening to my upgrade babble!
I hope everyone is having a super Splendiferous day!
Many Blessings,

Good Morning fellow bloggers!
I have been gone for a while. =) I am back – well sort of! Praise God, I do have a computer with some new software and that is always exciting!
I am still looking for a car and know God is directing our steps.
I wanted to share this photo with you. This was a gift I gave a friend of mine for her birthday. I went with a shabby type of them and the gifts are filled with……what else…..but stamps!
I am feeling sentimental and so thankful to God for his bountiful blessings! We are blessed!
I am preparing for my Mom’s birthday and it’s lots of fun…so when I get done making the gifts I will have to share with you.
I am leaving you with a funny “Mom” story from one of my devotionals. I hope it puts a smile on your face. It did mine. =)
When our daughter Laura was three-years-old, she had a slight speech problem…enunciating her “Rs” and certain other sounds. At this time we were expecting our third child, Katie. If Katie happened to be a boy, we were naming him Joseph. Try as she might, Laura could not say Joseph. She pronounced it “Jofus.” I remember trying to help her. I would get down on my knees, cup her little chin in my hands and look into her eyes. I would say, “Now, Laura, say ‘Jo’.”
And she would say, “Jo.”
Then I would say, “Now, Laura, say ‘Seph‘.”
And she would say, “Seph.”
“Now, Laura, say ‘Joseph’.”
And she would say “Jofus.” She just couldn’t get it.
One summer day, shortly before Katie was born, I was out back playing whiffleball with Laura and her older brother, David, who was five. The big deal was to hit the ball over the fence for a home run. David had done it…..but Laura had never achieved this feat. Well…on this particular day she connected with one and hit it out for a home run! She circled the yard and was very excited.
About then, her mother, Shelly, came out to the back yard and Laura yelled, “Mommy! Mommy! I hit a home run! I hit a home run!” But Shelly couldn’t understand her rapid fire speech and asked Laura to please repeat it.
I’ll never forget the scene…totally frustrated, Laura walked over to her mother, pulled her down to eye level, cupped Shelly’s child in her hands, looking into her eyes and said, “Mommy, say ‘home…’.”
The short chapter ends with this…..
“The trouble with parents is they are so old when we get them, it’s hard to change their habits.” -Elanor Doane
Too cute!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and wish me luck car hunting!
Many Blessings!

It’s Friday!

Good morning fellow bloggers…I will be off line for a little bit…My laptop died on me on Tuesday. =)

Hope to see you soon and post some eye candy for you!

Giving Thanks

6 Oct

Good evening fellow bloggers! I have been gone for what seems like forever, but really it’s only a week. (LoL!)

I have so much to be thankful for. Last Thursday after school the boys and I were hit by a drunk driver right in front of our home. Praise God we are doing good. Our car is totalled and we are currently looking for a good used car! It is hard to go car shopping!!! (lol!) I am so thankful that God protected us, only a few pulled muscles and minor bruising. Material things can be replace!

I am so totally bummed that I missed the “fun times” on World Card Making Day. But thanks to Gina K, I can still get in on all the fun. I think what Gina K is doing is great for our troops. If you haven’t heard yet please click HERE for all the deets.

I used the So Grateful set from Gina K and the set was illustrated by Rupa Sheves! I just lovey Rupa’s style! I love blue and red together. I especially love Stampin‘ Up! In Colors – Baja Blue and Riding hood Red together….yummy! =)

I was able to get some crafting in this weekend. There is a small group of ladies putting together a super special scarp book for a super special person. (I will be able to share this ultra – scrap book and a few pictures of the ladies in a week or so. ) We are doing a 50-60 pg scrap book in two wks. I know insane right! We are making great strides in getting this done. A complete group effort!

Many Blessings!
