Simple Gift Giving

30 Nov

I just lovey this new set from Kim Hughes (Cornish Heritage Farms)….the pie has got to be my favorite at the moment! Tooo cute!!!

I made this little card kit for my neice for her Birthday. I included 5 card bases, 5 stamped images and everything needed to complete the card you see in the picutre. All she has to do is color the images and put it all together. I know she will love this. All the ingredents to make the cards fit nicely into a clear box that I purchased from Gina K. I added a fun belly band (that you can’t see) to the clear box. Nothing to fancy…..but fun!

The clear box will be added to a basket of items that I have for her. In the basket there are ink pads, stamps, 3 different size card bases and envelopes and some coloring tools….tooo fun!!! Who wouldn’t love to receive a basket full of card making supplies for their Birthday!?!!?!!

Well we have our first “Winter Storm” warning of the year. We are suppose to receive up to 6″ of snow in a small amount of time. Winter is officially here in Wisconsin. Fun Stuff. =)

Can you believe Christmas is 3 weeks away!?!?!!! I can’t. Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love celebrating the birth of my savior. After Thanksgiving we have a little family tradition…like most people we begin decorating for Christmas and we read an amazing story by Max Lucado called “Cosmic Christmas.” Totally awesome book. It is the Christmas Story but taken from heavens perspective. We read this book several times during the Christmas season.

I will quite babbling! I have got to finish getting the boys and I ready for Church.

Have a super Splendiferous day!

Many Blessings,

What a generous giveaway! I am thankful for my dear husband and beautiful sons and that I have the most incredible daughter, whom I had with me for 10 wonderful years before she went to live in Heaven. I miss her dearly but I know how blessed I am to have had the opportunity to see her grow for those 10 years. She was such a creative and fun stamping partner! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

The Journey

19 Nov

The Journey………..I am going to share a little story with you.

Why Mothers Have Grey Hair

The CEO of a Fortune 500 company needed to call one of his management employees about an urgent problem with one of their computers. He dialed the employee’s cell phone number and was greeted with a child’s whispered “Hello.”
Feeling a bit put out at the inconvenience of having to talk to a youngster the boss asked, “Is your Daddy home?” “Yes,” whispered the small voice.
“May I talk with him?” the man asked.
To the surprise of the CEO, the small voice whispered, “No.”
Wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, “Is you Mommy there?”
“Yes,” came the whispered answer.”
“May I talk with her?”
“No,” came the little voice.
Knowing that it was not likely that a young child would be left home alone, the CEO decided he would just leave a message with the person who should be present watching over the child.
“Is there any one there besides you?” he asked.
“Yes,” whispered the child, “a policeman.”
Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee’s home and now a bit alarmed, the boss asked, “May I speak with the policeman?”
“No, he’s busy,” whispered the child.
“Busy doing what?” asked the CEO.
“Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the fireman,” came another whispered answer.
Growing even more concerned, he heard what sounded like an helicopter through the phone. So he asked, really alarmed, “What is that noise?”
“A hello-copper,” answered the whispering voice.
“What is going on there?” asked the boss, more alarmed.
“The search team just landed the hello-copper,” came back the awed whisper.
Alarmed, concerned, worried and more than just a little frustrated, the boys asked, “What are they searching for?”
Still whispering, the young voice replied, along with a muffled giggle: “Me!”

What is a Sense of Humor?
“Humor has always been an expression of freedom of the human spirit. It is an ability to stand outside of life’s flow and view the whole scene…the incongruities, the tradedies outside our control, the unexpected.” -Dr. Terry L. Paulson

A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. Proverbs 17:22

I hope this story gave you a little chuckle, like it did me!

Have a wonder rest of the week!

Many Blessings!!!

Blog Blessings!!!! – (AKA – Blog Candy)

13 Nov

I am offering up some super yummy blog blessings! I have an extra set of the Labels One Nesties to give away. With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I thought it would be fitting for you to share with me what you are most Thankful for.

Thankfulness! I was reading the Bible during my lunch hour at work. I came across a few scriptures in Psalm.

“Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.” Psalm 75:1

“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.” Psalm 92:1-2

The Word is good! I am so very thankful to God for His never ending love and mercy that surrounds us each and every day! God has blessed me with two beautiful boys that are full of life and adventure….my heart is overwhelmed with praise and thanksgiving to God!!! I am truly blessed beyond measure!!!

I hope you have a wonderful night!

Many Blessings!!!!!

I had to restock my stash of cards for my kiddo’s. They love receiving cards. (But who doesn’t?)
I think the little robot in this set (Little Guy) by Kim Hughes is adorable! You can find the stamp set here at Cornish Heritage Farms. (Good Stuff!) I also colored the robot like that on purpose using my prism color pencils. =)
We have been so busy….getting ready for Thanksgiving. My family and I always host a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner. It has grown and grown every year. We have an open door policy around the Holiday’s in our home and so does my Aunt, Uncle and cousins. We want anyone who doesn’t have family close by, or doesn’t have a family any more to feel welcome and part of our family, especially around the Holidays. Everyone needs to feel loved!
I think this year we are having close to 40 people for Thanksgiving….it keeps growing and growing every year. Praise God! I love Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s my favorite time of year!!!
I still have a story to share with you that I was reading during my devotional time….it will have to be another day though. The kiddo’s are starting to stir and we need to prepare for our day!
