Happy New Year!

31 Dec

Well I can’t believe that 2008 is over and it will be 2009….where has the time gone? We have had a year full of ups and downs. Yet I must say it was a fantastic year for growth, change, and learning.
I chose this card to say…..Blessings to each of you in 2009!!! I just love this Irishbella…(not sure what her real name is….) As most of you that know me, I am in love the country and people of Ireland. When I saw this bella stamp it, I had to have this sweet and sassy Irish lady.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a super duper safe New Years Eve. We are going to church tonight. Even though I was invited to some parties to play games and hang with my friends to bring in the new year. I am choosing to come home after church and the boys and I are going to be bums tonight. We will play games and maybe watch a movie. I know….. I feel old…but right now spending time with my boys and having a friend or two over tonight, sounds perfect.
Many Blessings!!!!

Hello Sunshine…

26 Dec

…is back.

How was your Christmas? Our was awesome!!!! We are blessed beyond measure! The boys tore into their presents and we spent quality time with our family. It was so much fun!

I am so thankful to God for being born a baby and dwelling among us and becoming our sacrifice.

Isaiah 9:6
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The might God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

I hope you have a very relaxing weekend!

Many Blessings,

Mary

Go Confidently….

in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you have imagined. -Thoreau.

I am a quote type of person. I love them! I love thought provoking quotes…like, “Difficulties mastered are opportunities won.” – Winston Churchill.

This is a super duper quick and easy card! Under 5 Minutes. The hardest part of this card is making the card base. (LOL!) I used Making Memories Journal Notes and two CHF stamp sets. I love, love, love the Butterfly set from the Saturday Evening Post line. The butterflies are so beautiful and it is so easy to make it look like the butterflies are in flight. The set includes many butterflies in motion and some cool sentiments too. The second set I used from CHF is from the Mona Lisa Moments line called Motivational Centers. It took me forever to purchase this set and I am so glad I did. I can make thoughtful cards for friends and family in the matter of moments. (this is a bonus!)

I will quite babbling on and on and on….You have got to check out Cornish Heritage Farms.

Have a great day!

Catchy title? No story behind the title….I was trying to have a catchy title. LOL!
Basic Grey and Making Memories meets Kim Hughes stamps – from Cornish Heritage Farms.
I love how this card turned out. I am try to add a few cards to my stash for the boys a couple times a month. My boys love receiving cards of encouragement. (But who wouldn’t!)
I have a story to share with you to encourage you to speak positive, uplifting words into your children’s life. (I desperately needed this reminder today and I hope it blesses you as it has me.)
The Vision of Future Greatness
When Luciono Pavarottie was a boy, his grandmother put him on her lap and said, “You’re going to be great, you’ll see.” And this she often repeated into his life…blessing him with great vision of the future.
His mother hoped and dreamed of him becoming a banker. “Instead,” Pavarotti explains, “I ended up teaching elementary school and sang only infrequently. But my father constantly prodded me and said I singing below my potential.”
Finally, at the age of twenty-two, Pavarotti dumped teaching for selling life insurance to give him enough time and earning in order to develop his vocal talent. He went to school, he took private lessons and practiced and practiced.
Studying voice was the turning point of my life.” says the world famous opera star. “It’s a mistake to take the safe path in life. If I hadn’t listened to my father and dropped teaching, I would never be here. And yes, my teacher groomed me. But no teacher ever told me I would become famous. Just my grandmother!”
The power of the spoken word into the life of a child can be life changing. When you think of it…the tongue holds the power of blessing or cursing, building up or tearing down, encouraging or discouraging.
Mother, grandmother, stop and think with me….what kind of words have you been speaking into the ears of the children you love? When you bless with your words….you are giving approval, you are giving permission to succeed, you are raising the sights, you are creating a future vision, you are releasing that child to do and become all that they can be!
Excellence
“None of us will ever accomplish anything excellent or commanding except when she listens to the whisper which is heard by her alone.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of our hand to do so.
– Proverbs 3:27
Have a wonderful day full of encouragement!
Many Blessings!

Oh…Happy Snow Day!

9 Dec

The boys had a snow day today! They were so pumped and went out to play for a little bit….too much fun. =)
Yesterday was my Birthday and the boys are sooo cute! Jeremy (my eldest) plays the clarinet and he sang me a blues song….it went something like this….
“I love my raggedy old mother”….”da da na na na”….”she is full of wrinkles”…”da da na na na”…..
and you get the picture right! It was sooo funny….he was teasing me about me growing older and I love those type of presents. Samuel (my youngest) wrote a play and sang 4 songs to me for my birthday. It was sooo sweet!
I am beyond blessed. I am so thankful to God for my children who are so thoughtful and hilarious!
I hope you have an awesome day. Many Blessings!!!
