Get Well Soon

31 Mar

Here is another card using the American Crafts stamp set from the Dear Lizzy collection.  I used PTI Lemon CS and Basic Grey’s Lemonade DP…’s bright and cheery and I think it would lift someone’s spirits if they were not feeling well.

This is a quick post.  Thanks for stopping by.

Many Blessings,

Celebrate Sunshine

30 Mar
I purchased a new stamp set from American Crafts from the Dear Lizzy collection, called Warble.  I think the images are adorble and love the paper line. (currently saving up to get some of the ubery yummy paper.)  I found the stamp set at 40% at my local SBS and was under $6.00 for the stamp set.
My Opinion on the stamps:
I love the images!  But I do not like the material that the stamps are made out of.  The stamps seem cheaply made, hence the inexpensive price.
I guess I am spoiled with Paper Trey Ink and Waltzingmouse – Photopolymere stamps.  I do have to say the Clear Dollar stamps are awesome quality for not being photopolymere.  They are a high quality acrylic stamp and I love the CDS stamps and no quality complaints with them at all, so I can’t say that am being a clear stamp snob. (LOL!)   I was however diappointed in the quality of the American Crafts stamps.  (Not the artwork of the images, because they are adorable,  but the quality of the material that they used.)
That was my two cents on the quailty…moving on. LOL!

I made a couple of cards yesterday and wanted to show these two cards together.  I used the same layout on both cards, but they have completely different looks by changing the embellishments.  As you can see I also used up my scraps from my patterned paper.  Same layout different patterned paper on the top and bottoms.  Love when that works and all the scrap pieces fit perfectly for the second card, so why not. =)

I am still not a 100% healed physically yet, but I am soaring high in the spirit. God has been bringing revelation to me about His nature and character in a greater measure the last few days.  We are so blessed! and we serve a Great and Mighty God!!!

Thank you for your well wishes, thoughts and prayers, they mean a lot to me.

Many Blessings to you!

Thinking of You

29 Mar

I had fun making this card.  Vintage Picnic stamp set is sooo cool!  I stamped the basket  repeatedly with versamark ink on the Kraft CS and clear embossed the basket in the bottom right hand corner and colored it in with my Copics and white gel pen.  I am not totally sold on the yellow and blue color, next time I want to use red, white and blue.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I have had some “cold germs” try to bother me.  UGH!

Well I hope everyone is doing well.  Blessing to you!

Blackleaf Studio – Blog Challenge

24 Mar
Think spring, bright colors, and lots of texture.  That’s what the Challenge over at Blackleaf Studios Blog is all about…..Texture.
You can’t really see but my back floal panel is embossed using my swiss dots cuttle bug folder.  IRL it looks cool!   I cut 2 clouds using my Cricut Expression and coverd the clouds with puffy white paint and glitter and heat set with my embossing gun, to get the puffy – glittery textured clouds.   The papers are all from Basic Grey – Lemonade 6×6 pack. I used an SU! paper punch on the grass element and the sentiment is from Amuse Art Stamps.  This is one of my all time favorite Amuse sentiments.  I finished off with a few rhinestones on the bunnies bow and in the corner for balance.
The main focal images are from the Bunny Fun  Digital set from Blackleaf Studios Shop.  I used the adorable Bunny and Sun image from the set. There is a duck, lamb, basket, grass, eggs, borders and much more packed into this digital set.
I added some Sakura clear glaze gel pen and a little Martha Stewart glitter to each image for added pop.  The images are also on diamentionals.
I will forever be an ink and rubber girl when it comes to this art.  With that said, Digital stamps and supplies have captured my creative side as well.  Mixing two of my favorite mediums for art is heavenly.  I have listed a few benefits of using digital images below.
Benefits of using Digital Images:
  1. Pre-colored images makes for extremely easy card making.
  2. You can print it and cut it out in the matter of minutes.
  3. You can still use regular stamping Techniques to your digital stamps.  Like applying a little glaze or glitter accent to your card, dry embossing and there are many, many, more.
  4. Minimal time commitment. You can make a card it 5 minutes or less and walk out the door with a hybrid – homemade card to give to your special friend or loved one.
  5. Digital images are adorable and perfect for creating quick and easy cards.
  6. Digital Images are perfect if you are on  a strict budget.
Give Digital a try, if you haven’t already and you won’t be disappointed.
Don’t miss out on a chance to participate in this weeks Blackleaf Studio’s Blog Challenge.  You are able to download freebies…..HERE and you can win some ubery – yummy BLS digital products.
Thank you for stopping by today and check out the rest of the DT to be inspired to create with these lovely images.

Shabby Spring

23 Mar
Isn’t that Vintage Spring Bingo Card the cutest and sweetest thing ever!  I think so.  This is a digital image from Sugar Creek Hollow.    Tracy is the owner and there are some extremely adorable vintage images in her store.    The new releases are sooo cool!  I love the apron image, vintage coffee lady is too funny! and the Behold I stand digi set are soooo stinkn’ cute!
Make sure you visit Sugar Creek Hollow and give a shout out to Tracy for me.
I printed the digital bingo card on white cardstock and distressed the edges and popped them up on the card.  I used May Arts cream silk ribbon, prima flowers and lots of glitter.   I also used one of my all time favorites background stamps from Paper Trey Ink – Text background and distressed the edges of the card.  Then finished the card off by adding a crystal pin from Making Memories to the silk bow.  Love how the card turned out.
Many Blessings to you and thanks for stopping by today!

Wishing you Sunshine

22 Mar

Good morning!  I cut the clouds with my cricut experssion and stamped PTI’s Scattered Showers onto some uber yummy Fabriano Medioevalis Italian stationary.   The paper has rough tooth to it and reminds me of watercolor paper.  It’s great to watercolor on.   I did my card plain and simple.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a great week!

Many Blessings,

You’ve Got Mail…

18 Mar

I love the Vintage Picnic basket stamp set from PTI….soooo cool!  (IRL the purples matach better than they look in the photo.)

I made a 4 bar size card.  They are so tiny to me compared to the normal A2 cards that I create.  I clear embossed PTI text background on the card and colored the main image with my Copics.

Things have been crazy around here, my mom had to go to Washington state and be with my Grandpa.  My mom said that Grandpa was so excited to see my Mom and my Aunt Kathy.  That makes my heart so very warm and happy to hear that!

Anyways….so thing have been a little crazy and I’ll get back to regular postings soon.  I have lots of cards to share with you.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Chair-ish you

16 Mar

Isn’t the chair image amazing?   I love this set from Blackleaf Studios called Vintage Chic.  I colored the images with my Copics in a slightly sloppy way. I did this on purpose and had to make myself not re-color the images.  LOL!

That paper is from Cosmo Cricket – Material Girl line. (Uber yumminess!)

This card is for Blackleaf Studios and Clearly iStamp color challenge to use GREEN!  It’s almost St. Patricks day!  Whoo hoo!  Sweetness.

Thanks for stopping by today and check out Blackleaf Studios Blog for Deets on this weeks color challenge.

Many Blessings!

15 Mar

I got the card idea from K. Werners Finally Friday creation.   Too cute.  This is my version of her card.

I used the ADORABLE fruit stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps.  The peach image is one of my favorites out of the set.    The paper is from Cosmo Cricket.   Flowers are Making Memories with PTI buttons.

So what do you think?   I loved how it turned out.  A little funky….

Thanks for stopping by tonight and many blessings!
