A Kid with Class

14 Mar
I have another Blackleaf Studio’s card to share with you today.   I used their uber adorable Toy Transportation set.  The DT was given a color challenge.  To use Black and White plus one other color and my other color was yellow….LOL! (As if you couldn’t figure it out. LOL!)

I just love this bus…all the toy transportation images are stinkn’ adorable.   I colored the bus with my Copic markers and used a stamp set from Cornish Heritage Farms that Kim Hughes created, called Making the Grade.

Don’t forget about the sketch challenge too.  See the post below for all the deets.

Many Blessings to you and thanks for stoppy by.  Have a super splenderific weekend.

Great Job!

Here is another Ahnika Anya from The Greeting Farm.  I colored her hair as a blonde and had so much fun coloring her to match the October Afternoon – Fresh Farm DP.  Too fun!
Here is another one that I colord and the hair is the same color, but colored differently from the first image in the photo above this one.  In this image I was practicing my shine and shading.  I love how it turned out.  Still lots of practice to be done, but having fun in the process.
Blessings and Have a great day!

Thinking of You!

7 Mar
I think this stamp from The Greeting Farm is totally adorable.  I purchased this stamp over a year ago and this is my only stamp from The Greeting Farm at this time….(that’s why you see it alot! LOL!)  But I originally purchased her because her name was Ahnika (spelled a little differently, and I think it’s retired too).  We have a family member named Ahnika and she wears her hair just like this at times and is stinkn’ adorable like this stamp.
I colored the image with my Copics.  I was feeling brave that day, because I colored her with Red hair…I was praying for Ireland that day and that’s probably why I choose the color scheme that I did.  (Love the country of Ireland and No, I haven’t been there yet.  Saving and the boys and I will be there soon.)  Any hooooot!
I love how the card turned out!  What do you think?
Blessings to you!

Fabulous darling, simply fabulous!

4 Mar

Isn’t that image adorable!?!?!?  I haven’t used my Bella images in a long time.  It was time to break them out, they had to be feeling neglected! LOL!

I used some more of the fabulous paper from October Afternoon – Farm Fresh collection.  Her dress is paper pieced.  You can’t tell but I added some sukura clear glaze pen the her bows, shoes, and the balloons.  In real life this helps set the image apart IMO.

Like the sentiment says….”Hope your day is Fabulous!”

Thanks for stopping by today and many blessings,

Mary

Birthday Card

3 Mar

I have been trying to fine tune my cartooning skills.  I have a lot of work ahead of me….=)

I made this card for my cousin’s husband, his nick name is Critter.  He is the Pastor of the Oshkosh daughter work and they are doing an amazing job!  He had a Birthday back in January, and because we were all on the 40 day fast we didn’t celebrate his Birthday until last Sunday.   Also last Sunday they celebrated their One year anniversary as a church!  Praise God!

God is moving in a mighty way!  If you are in Oshkosh, WI you should come and check it out!  Here is their website:  Pathway Apostolic Church.  (The website is a work in progress…)

There are some jokes attached to this cartoon.  When someone made an annoucment for Pathway Apostolic Church a while back, they accidently said “Pathways”.  Christopher (Critter) corrected them when he got the mic, because there is a  “Pathways” church and he doesn’t want anyone to get confused…so the plaque on the pulpit has the “s” crossed off.  (Inside family joke.)  The next funny part is when he preaches, almost every sermon he makes the statement “The fact of the matter is….”  So I had to put that.  LOL!  May not seem to funny to you…but our family was having a blast with it.  The inside of the card says “it’s your birthday, let’s celebrate!”

As you can see with the eyes of the image, I am begining to draw from the cartoon form of manga, but with my own twist.  I am still learning how to render (shade) for clothing so it looks real. (Need lots of practice, anyone have any tips, please share. I am willing and ready to learn.)

Thanks for stopping by today and many blessings!
