Fabulous Friday (Delay)

30 Jul

Good morning!  I wanted to let you know that today’s Fabulous Friday video will be up later today….Sorry for the delay, but it’s been a crazy week!  LOL

Thank you for your patience and I’ll talk to you soon!

Free File for you!

28 Jul

Good afternoon fellow crafters….

I have been creating in Illustrator and have designed a few .svg files.

I created a pendant .svg file for you to use on your cards or scrapbook pages or whatever else you can dream up.  How cool is that!?!!  (LOL!)  I know that this is an extremely simple and easy file to create…but we’ve all got to start somewhere. =)

  1. The size of the pendants (8 in a row) are 5.15″ (L) x 1.18″ (W).  Of coarse you can re size the file to whatever fits your needs.
  2. Using the size as it is I was able to cut my patterned paper into  (I used October Afternoon’s – The Thrift Shop collection. LOL!) 5.5″ (L) x 1.5″ (W) strips.  That way I was able to arrange the paper strips on my 12 x12 mat all at once.  The program that I use with my Cricut Expression is Sure Cuts A Lot.
  3. Most important…Have fun creating. =)

NOTE:  This file is free.  Please use it for your personal use.  If you use the cut items on your cards or projects that you sell, please link back to my blog and give credit where credit is due. =)   Do not sell this file, direct people back here to get it for free.  I know that this is an uber simple file and I am not worried about anyone not giving credit…but a disclaimer is needed no matter how small or simple my creations are.  Thank you for your support.  You’re awesome!

So without further delay….Click this link to download your Free .Svg Pendant File.

Here is a PDF file.

If you use this file please leave a comment and a link to your project. I’d love to see your creativity!
I have a few more free .svg files that I’ll be posting within the next few weeks.
Blessings to you and Happy Creating!

Moxie Fab – Trigger Tuesday Card

26 Jul
I went over to the Moxie Fab World blog and saw this Trigger Tuesday challenge and I decided to play along.
I had an idea that in my mind it was totally awesome.  It’s funny that what I dreamed up….is not what was created! LOL…. I am still indifferent to my card submission….but it took me a long time to get to this point and well I don’t have the heart to scrap it.  I will however be taking more time to create the idea that I have floating around in my head…so I will give it another go. (LOL!)
I was inspired by the colors and the light shining through the lanterns.   The main focal circles is drawn from the details that are in the back of the photo.  I cut out a circle and cut it apart to get all the fun elements from all the different papers that I used.  I used tissue paper because it reminded me of the texture of the lanterns.
Share your thoughts with me. Please!   As you can see I am still in vintage mode.  I just love October Afternoon paper. I keep using this paper in almost every project.  I normally jump between a few of my paper lines, but I can’t seem to pull myself from the OA papers.  It totally strikes a chord with me.
Everyone is at CHA this week…and I can’t wait to see all the photo’s and sneak peeks. Alright on with the Details.
Stamps:  Technique Tuesday – Ali Edwards, Loving Words, Vintage Text Scrapblock by CHF.
Ink: PTI – Drk Choco, TH Distress – Antique Linen, Tea Dye.

We’re Home

12 Jul

Good evening!

We are back from our little vacation and it was a blast!  I came home to find that my computer quit working.  UGH!  (LOL!)  I was checking my email and my computer shut down and began to beep.  I am not sure what happened.

My friends husband is working on my computer for me.  That’s a HUGE blessing!  And I am thankful.

I do have my mom’s computer….but none of my artwork is on her computer.   So I am downloading some “trial” software on her computer and then I should be able to not have my design work interrupted.  I do have a few graphic design jobs that I need to finish….Oh the joys of computers! (LOL!)  I do feel very blessed, because I do have another computer to use and someone who is a computer genius is working on my computer.

So, I will back later this week with some creations….just prepping my mom’s computer to do the job.

Blessings and Hugs!
