Live, Laugh, Love

28 Sep

I had to make a bunch of cards last night.  This was what I came up with and I’m loving it!  So super simple.

I love the new Basic Grey – Wander collection. All the blues, greens, yellow-oranges and red make me so happy! LOL!!!

The middle apple is popped up on some foam.  The green card stock is from Gina K Designs, Apple Green.  It’s such a yummy color and goes really well with the Basic Grey stuff.

Blessings and thanks for stopping by!

Awesome Weekend!

27 Sep

We had my cousins little boy over today after church and had so much fun playing outside with him.  This is my eldest holding baby J.

I was playing around in Photoshop tonight and used a couple of photo actions…I only remember one that I used….Edge Burn from PW.

We have another super busy week ahead and I do have some crafty projects that I’ve been working on that I want to share.

Have a great week!!!!

Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday

25 Sep

Tracy the owner of Sugar Creek Hollow created this awesome vintage harvest digi.  I love these types of digital images because all the collage work is done for you.  All you have to do is color and distress and add to your card or bag and it’s easy peasy lemon squeezy.

I decided to create a harvest/fall treat bag for a friend.  I want to fill this up with some tea, tissues, a few cough drops, some lipton chicken noodle soup and a few slips of paper with some scriptures on them to brighten her day and she is recovering from some icky cold germs.

I colored the image with my Copic markers, added some distress inks, prima flowers, a dictionary page flower and used a newspaper print stamp in the background.  It took me less than 20 minutes to put together.  Now that is not lightening fast, but the cost was minimal.  Cost me about .25 cents in materials that I had in my stash.  Sweetness if you ask me. LOL!

Make sure to check out Tracy’s blog. (Sugar Creek Hollow Owner) and the Sugar Creek Hollow blog.

The DT has made many, many, many beautiful projects….make sure to check them out.

Thanks for stopping by today!!!!

Many Blessings,

Look what came this week. I have my new Mac Book Pro….sweetness!!!  I was blessed with the funds from school so it was allocated for this purchase….which means = A TOTAL blessing!!!!!  Praise God.

There will be no Fabulous Friday Video this week…I am not feeling well.  There are some germs that won’t leave me alone.

I will try and have something posted for this Monday….

Hope you all had a great week!  I am off to rest.

Happy Monday

20 Sep

Isn’t this stamp set adorable?  It’s another one of Unity’s Itty bitty sets that are only availb. in stores.

I used my Cricket Expression to cute the fun shape, used a doily and cut it in half and lined it up with each other so that there wasn’t any funny overlap.  I used more of the yummy Crate Paper Restorations collection, some vintage ric-rak.

I colored the image with my Copic markers and covered the cherries in glossy accents.

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Red, Cream and Black – Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge

18 Sep

I created this card for the Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge this week.  I went for an uber easy vintage flair card.

Now normally vintage cards have a stigma of being complicated and having to use lots and lots of distressing and layers.  But that is not always the case.

I used a piece of Webster’s Page DP, a Martha Steward die cut that I sponged with some Black soot distress ink, a red silk ribbon and a digital sentiment from Sugar Creek Hollow

This is an example of simple vintage card.

The key to making a simple vintage card is having your DP do the work for you. There are so many vintage style papers on the market right now and they do all the work for us.  Another thing I like to do is use SCH digital stamps to create my own vintage style DP. Look for a video next week using this technique.

EDIT:  Take a look at Sharon’s blog, Inklined To Stamp.  She created the most beautiful background paper using SCH stamps.

Please join us in this weeks challenge over at the Sugar Creek Hollow Blog.  Make sure to check out the SCH Design Team, to see all of their uber talented inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Many Blessings,
