More coloring…..

25 Oct

Here is the Cinderella version….I sprayed the entire image with Chalk Tattered Angels glimmer mist.

The flowers in her hair and on her dress are some storybook prima flowers that I cut in half and removed several petals to make them the right size.

I finished it off with some silk ribbon.  Easy Peasy….

I am off to get the boys to school and my homework done. =)

24 Oct

Here is the Goldilocks image that colored the other day.  I made her the main focus for the card.

Hair: E25, E27, E29
Dress: R24, R22, R20
Skin:   E00, E11, R20

The background paper is from Webster’s page.  When I saw that it was in the same tone family and it was a diamond shape I thought it was perfect.

I hope you are all having a fantabulous weekend.

Feeling Green

22 Oct

Green is by far my all time favorite colors.  I was having fun the other night coloring this Kraftin’ Kimmie image.  I think she is so cute!  This image also give me a chance to play with shading and highlighting.  I need more practice to make her dress really come alive, but for my first try I was pleased with the result.

I am learning in my design classes to not be a wimp when it comes to color and design. LOL!  So when choosing my colors I went for contrast in my greens.  I used a yellow green along with a regular green that leans more towards the blue green end of the spectrum without being classified a blue green.  It was a challenge for me.   (I just realized that I did not write down the colors I used for her gown.  I do remember one green YF63 – New Leaf…it’s one of my favs.)

As I look at her hair, I think I could of used more contrast.  I went with my favorite brunette trio of:
E27 and

I was struggling to come up with an over all card layout, since this is not my normal style of card making.  Still unsure…but will quite critiquing now. =)

I used October Afternoon – Thrift Shop collection of papers.  I love how the black and tans contrast with the vibrant greens.  It’s hard to see but I used some Maya Road leaf pins that are off to the side of the flower.

FYI:  Tomorrow I will be posting a video on how I make the dictionary flowers.  I had several ladies email me asking for this video.  So I hope you enjoy.

Have a wonderful night!

Many Blessings,

A few updates

21 Oct

Hello!  I seem to be MIA. LOL!  This week is Mid-terms.  Fun stuff!  I am loving my classes and so excited for the opportunity to be in school.

I have been creating and do have some fun cards to share with you….hopefully by next week.
I received two Kraftin Kimmie stamps and soooooo love them!  I have been able to color and coloring is my stress reliever.   Give me a couple of Copics and a cute image and as soon as the ink hits the paper….life seems to get  a little simpler.  Mixing colors, highlighting and shading….it’s all GOOD!  LOL!  Seriously works for me.

Here are links to the two stamps that I received.  The DT is awesome at coloring these images…Loads coloring of inspiration.

Goldilocks  (isn’t she cute?)
Marie Antoinette  (love her!)

Now all of these adorable images that I’ve colored needs to be added to my cards and then I’ll have more to share.

I do need to go and study. LOL!!!

Look what I received….

18 Oct

I received this card in the mail a week or so ago.  Isn’t it fabulous?!?!!?  I think so.  My friend Tracy from Primitive Paper sent this to me.

Thanks Tracy for thinking of me….

Many Blessings!
