Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday

29 Jan
Good Morning!
Today is another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow and that means a new challenge.  Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and chances are good you need a few cards for that occasion so we want you to make a Valentine’s Day card but we want you to try your hand at a VINTAGE VALENTINE.

Each week we will choose one random winner, who will receive a free digi of their choice from the Sugar Creek Hollow Shoppe and a badge to display on your blog.  If you use a Sugar Creek Hollow image you will get two entries in the random draw.  Just follow the instructions on the sidebar to link your second entry.

Each week the Design Team will choose a Card of the Week and the creator of that card will get a badge to display.  One overall winner will be chosen each month from the Cards of the Week.  That person will be invited to be a Guest Designer and participate in the next challenge.  An image will be provided to them to work with.  The Card of the Week prize will be given when we have a minimum of 10 entries.

Now…before we get into our challenge I want to share a “New Image Reveal” with you.  This is our new “Get-Well” Vintage label and I was privileged enough to be able to showcase it with you.

I printed this adorable image on Vintage Cream CS from PTI, distressed the edges with some Vintage Photo distress ink, added some Country Crinkle ribbon from Sugar Creek Hollow and placed it on a 4bar size grey card base.

I loved how it turned out.  I am going to be making this into a little encouragement book for a friend who is fighting with some heath issues.  Once it’s complete I will post the finished product and how I created it.

Please check out the Sugar Creek Hollow Blog for more details concerning this weeks challenge and then check out the rest of the DT for some AMAZING creations that is sure to get your creative juices flowing.

Thanks for stopping by and many blessings,

Sharing the Love: Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” Mark 9:35

Hi Mary! What a great card! It reminds me of the old time medicine bottle labels you would seen in an old movie or an old ad in a newspaper. Great job! Love the colors and the ribbon is a perfect little touch! Thanks for sharing it Mary. Hope your friend is doing better. I would like to see the booklet when you are done, it sounds very inspirational.

Mary I love the simple elegance to this card. The distressing makes it so vintage and I love that ribbon running across the image.
