Here is another card using Papertrey Ink’s Up, up and Away stamp set.  I just love it!  It’s hard to see but the clouds are lined with silver embossing powder….too fun!
This is a super quick post.

Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday

26 Mar
This week’s Challenge over at Sugar Creek Hollow is to use “Stitching”.  I added some faux stitching to my card.  I used the new March Daffodil image. I colored the image with Copic Markers and added some distress ink.  The crinkle ribbon is from my Etsy shop – Enchanted charcoal.  Of coarse I threw a doily in the background…I could’t resist.
This week is the last week of festivities in celebration of Sugar Creek Hollow’s one year anniversary.
We need your help in naming this image before it goes into the Sugar Creek Hollow store.

Please leave a comment on the challenge blog with your suggestion.  Tracy, the owner of Sugar Creek Hollow will choose the name she thinks best suits the image.  If more than one person suggests the winning name, their names will go into a random draw.  The person with the winning name will receive this stamp as their prize.  You have until midnight EST on April 1st to leave your comment and the winner will be announced on April 2nd.

Now onto the winner of the Blog candy from last week.  First off I want to thank each of you lovely ladies for leaving me such warm and sweet comments on my card and for celebrating with us at Sugar Creek Hollow.  It’s you, the customer who make this happen and this is a small token of our gratitude.

So choose number……………8: Patti P

Mary, this is such a beautiful card. Love the way your cross shimmers. Your bg’s are just perfect. Tfs, my fav image is the Behold set, because it is so versitile, but I love all of the vintage ones. Thanks for the hop, so much fun.

Papertrey March Blog Hop Challenge

25 Mar
Good Morning!  I decided to play along this month in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.  For all the details please visit Nichole Heady’s blog.

The challenge is to use Floss in a different way on your card or project. When I created this card I was thinking of my teenage son.  I wanted something a little trendy but clean & simple.

I purposely did not add a sentiment so that I could add the sentiment when I use the card. My son loves clean graphic lines with lots of white space.  I attempted to make sure that there was plenty of white space and went with color for my contrast and used the rule of “3” when applying the string.  I think I achieved the the clean graphic design that he loves so much.

I hope you enjoy the Fabulous Friday video this week.

Thanks for stopping by!

Here is another grouping of cards that I created yesterday.  I used various stamp companies like Unity, Paper Smooches, and The Greeting Farm.
I still have a ton of cards and sketches floating around in my mind. I have more time to create today. The weather in Wisconsin is totally crazy right now. Seriously crazy. It’s spring and we have a winter weather advisory with Snow, Freezing Rain and Sleet with blizzard like conditions on and off.  This morning we woke up to over an inch thick worth of ice. My car sits outside and it was frozen shut, you couldn’t even get into it. LOL!  We had our truck in the garage and the garage door was frozen shut.  LOL!  Lovely spring weather.
Sooo that means we are not going anywhere today. The boys stayed home from school and we are relaxing and it gives me time to create. Thank you Lord for that little treat.
Thanks for stopping by today,

Creative Tuesday

23 Mar
I have creating today.  I am off on spring break this week!  Whoo hoo….LOL!  I have a ton of design work to do and will get that done tomorrow along with my to do list that is miles long. But today I had a ton, I mean a ton of ideas that I’ve had floating around in my head for months…they all decided to come to the service today and since I actually had a little bit of time, I turned on some worship music and created.  =)  I am going to be selling some of my cards in my Etsy shop, since I made so many.  I am also going to be displaying them in groupings…again I think I made like 25 cards total today.
For this grouping I used Papertrey Ink: Up, Up and Away stamp sets and dies.  I will have a list of supplies at the end.  I hope you enjoy and are inspired.

Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday

19 Mar
Tracy, the wonderful and generous owner of Sugar Creek Hollow has a freebie for you to pick up for one week only when you go to the challenge blog during the blog hop.

My Card for the Blog Hop – This card is included in the Blog Candy.

I used the new Petal Cross image that is being released today to create my card. I colored the image with my Copic markers and added clear at you spice glitter pen.  In real life it is super glittery.  (It’s hard to see in the photo.)   The background is part of a glassine bag that I cut apart and stamped on with Staz-On ink, I added a piece of vintage sheet music, some Hero Arts clear round gems and some Crinkle ribbon to finish off my card.  Super simple, but pretty.

Today we are having a blog hop at Sugar Creek Hollow as part of our first anniversary celebrations.  All the designers have a giveaway for a winner chosen randomly from the people who leave comments on our blogs.  There will be a grand prize winner chosen from the people who leave a comment on the Sugar Creek Hollow challenge blog.

The blog hop will run in conjunction with the challenge from 8:00 am EST on Saturday, March 19th to 12 midnight EST on Friday, March 25th.  Comments left after the deadline will not be included in any of the draws.  Winners will be announced on each blog and the challenge blog on March 26th.

BLOG CANDY CONTENTS: The card that I made for the hop will also be included along with doilies, Kraft paper bags, Large & Med. glassine bags, Pink, Red, Manilla Small tags, Large Manilla tags, Marmalade & Lilac Hand dyed Crinkle ribbon all from my Etsy Shop.  I will also throw in a few extra surprises. I will also be including a mini stamp set or two from inkadinado.

To be eligible for my giveaway:
  1. Become a follower, if you are not one already.
  2. Leave me a comment telling me which stamp is your favorite from the Sugar Creek Hollow Shoppe.
  3. In addition, if you’d like you can tell me what types of stamps you might want to see added to the Sugar Creek Hollow line of stamps.
  4. Don’t forget to leave a contact email in case you are the winner on my blog.

Hopefully you have arrived here from Marsha’s blog but if you are lost, here is the order of the blog hop:

Paper Romance Challenge # 42

17 Mar

Morning! Today is Challenge day over at Paper Romance….the challenge is to use black, white and one color. Since today is St. Patties day I decided to go for with green for my one color.  I did some fun “negative” swap technique with my focal image.

Please check out the Paper Romance Blog for some uber inspiration and make sure to play along.
