A get well prayer….

19 Jan

For all who are battling with sickness….Isn’t this the cutest?  This is a set from Cornish Heritage Farms, Saturday Evening Post Collectoin – Common Cold.  Adorable set to use for get well cards….too fun!

Well we have started our Media fast and I’d have to say it’s hard….I’ve gotten into the habbit of spending 30 minutes a day surfing your blogs….I know that isn’t bad…but boy howdy…It was hard to not follow through with my routine this morning…LOL!   There will be great benifits of being closer to Jesus when we are all done.  We have ample opportunity to spend QUALITY time with each other and in the Word.

Saturday night we played Monopoly and this was Samuel’s first time playing. He is 8 years old.  We’ve tried having him play before, but he wasn’t into it.   Well on Saturday he kicked our tails….Samuel had almost all the properties and ended up having $10,000 plus dollars.  (He had to cound his money after he won the game so he knew how much he won by…LOL! – reminded me of Alex P. Keaton…..I just dated myself with name dropping of this character. LOL!)

I found the yummy paper on clearence at my local Archivers.  Gotta love that!  It’s Cosmo Cricket’s Lil’ Man Collection.

I love the color combo of blue, red and kraft….You’ll see it a lot these next few weeks, that I am pre-posting.

Thanks for stopping by and talk with you soon,

Mary

More — Pressing through cards

13 Jan
Here is another card using CHF’s Domestic Love stamp set.  I made some flowers from an old unused dress pattern.  Love the look with the material.

I stamped the iron image on some muslin and distressed the everything with some brown ink.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are having a super week.  We are!  God is always faithful and he knows our every need.   I am so beyone blessed and thankful for everything God has given to us!

My friend Nancy at Inkcicles shares a scripture at the end of each post and I am going to copy her.  I hope you don’t mind Nance. =)

Blessings to you!

Birthday Card

10 Dec

Good Morning!!!  I hope you are having a super splenderific kind of morning!

My battery died this morning….UGH!  Good thing we went out early to start the car…and as you already know…it didn’t start.   Just got back from getting a brand new car battery.  We should be set now for a WI winter.

The boys have their Christmas programs tonight and they are sooo excited!   The only hard part is one starts at 6p and the other at 7:30p at two different schools…UGH!  Why couldn’t they pick two different days.   I know I am not the only parent that has a child in elementary school  and one in middle school…that is insane timing…LOL!!!

I am blessed to have my family all around us, so they’ll split up between the boys…because I will be late getting to Jeremy’s program since Samuel’s doesn’t end until 7:00-7:15p.  Jeremy understands and isn’t too disappointed.  He knows that we didn’t make the silly schedule. =)

Enough on the home front.  The card above is one that I made for Kay-Kay she turend 14 years old (makes me feel OLD! lol!) a few days ago…I know I shouldn’t use her childish nickname…but I can’t help it.   I drew the image sometime at the end of last year or beginning of this year and finally made a card.  It was perfect for her birthday.  I also used Kim Hughes stamps set from CHF for the HB sentiment.

Hope you enjoy and have a blessed day!

Mary

HB – Friend

26 Sep

I made this card for a friend…her birthday was on Thursday. I also made this card for a challenge over at Waltzingmouse. Lovey her stamps and blog. She is from Ireland…Ummm…can anyone say…TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!
The challenge was to make a card using green and lots of green….I used the new Earth Love paper from Cosmo Cricket and they have this cool green cloud like paper…(see card above..LOL!) and I love it!
Next week is the launch of my second blog challenge, so make sure you stop by and play along.
We have a busy weekend. Jeremy and I are going to be working at our Youth Dept. booth at Octoberfest. This is our Youth groups biggest fund raiser. This is Jeremy’s first year in youth and so technically our first year working at the booth. It’s going to be a lot of fun!!!
Well thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!

Gift Trio

25 Jun

One of my friends had a baby girl and I made the onesie and birdy rattle for her. My mom made the mock crock booties….(aren’t the adorable!!???!!!)

I am hopefully going to be able to ship the package out tomorrow to her. I am leaving her nameless just in case she may read this post. (LOL!)

I also made an adorable shoe box for the booties above. I will adding a tutorial today or tomorrow with the measurements. It’s a cute box that can be used for many other things than a shoe box.

I also made this cute card to go with her package.

I use a stamp set from the Kim Hughes Collection at CHF called baby love. I also used some of the new yummy October Afternoon – Cherry Hill paper.
Thank you for stopping by today and many blessings!!!

We have been enjoying some warmer weather. I just love this set from CHF – Kim Hughes Collection called Ocean Friends. Darling set.

While Blog Surfing this morning…. I did come across a wonderful sneak peek of another Fish set coming out by Gina K. The seahorse is adorable! Please check out Cammie’s blog for the card. Darling and the seahorse is an instant favorite (Love how sparkly he is)….looks like I will be adding another Fish set to my collection! Can’t wait for more sneak peeks of this set….

Well I don’t have to much to share tonight. I am heading off to bed!

Many Blessings!

We Grow Great…..

17 Jan

by dreams. I love this quote from Woodroe Wilson. =)
Ok so I found some super yummy paper by SEI as our local SBS. (You might see a few cards using these yummy papers.)
I had to use Gina K “Tree Silhouettes” with this paper. The tree was calling to be red. (lol!) Doesn’t your paper and stamps call out to you too? (Now be honest, I know they do!)
I used the Lg. Scallop Long Rectangle Nestie and the 2nd largest of the Sm. Reg. Rectangle Nestie set. I am loving the Long Rectangles scallop and regular.
This isn’t a card but a book marker. I had the idea of making a pocket card to showcase the book markers…..but haven’t had a moment to create the perfect pocket card yet. Any ideas? I’d love to hear.
Well I have some super fun exciting news to share with you sometime next week….so keep checking back to hear. It is HUGE!
Thanks for stopping by today. Many Blessings!

You’re a Cuteasaurous

10 Jan

The boys and I went to the Baby Shower this afternoon. (No pictures yet.) We had to leave early. Samuel (my littlest) got sick at the shower, right before all the fun festivities began! UGH!!! Poor thing.

So we rushed home and he is doing much better. He not running a fever (thank God!). But he is laying down and I’m making him some yummy home made from scratch chicken noodle soup. Chicken noodle soup is so comforting when you don’t feel well.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the weekend and I will share pictures of the shower when Wendy passes some along to me. There were lot n lots of ladies there by the time we had to leave.

I have been having fun playing with some new stamps from Gina K and CHF. I hope to post some pictures of them next week. Love the new Gina K sets….too adorable. I also finally broke down and purchased my first Melanie Muenchinger set too. (Just so Sporty) I purchased this to make cards for my boys. My eldest Jeremy, who started 6th grade this year, is in band and is doing very well. He earned 1st chair. I am very proud of him. Well I saw the cute sweatshirt and jersey in the set and they will make cute encouragement cards for my boys and their friends.

Thanks for stopping by today. Many Blessings!!!

Go Confidently….

in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you have imagined. -Thoreau.

I am a quote type of person. I love them! I love thought provoking quotes…like, “Difficulties mastered are opportunities won.” – Winston Churchill.

This is a super duper quick and easy card! Under 5 Minutes. The hardest part of this card is making the card base. (LOL!) I used Making Memories Journal Notes and two CHF stamp sets. I love, love, love the Butterfly set from the Saturday Evening Post line. The butterflies are so beautiful and it is so easy to make it look like the butterflies are in flight. The set includes many butterflies in motion and some cool sentiments too. The second set I used from CHF is from the Mona Lisa Moments line called Motivational Centers. It took me forever to purchase this set and I am so glad I did. I can make thoughtful cards for friends and family in the matter of moments. (this is a bonus!)

I will quite babbling on and on and on….You have got to check out Cornish Heritage Farms.

Have a great day!

Mary
